Introduction
Recertification for First Aid
This qualification is valid for 3 years. The only component of this qualification that may need to be updated, is the CPR component. The Australian Resuscitation Councils recommends that CPR is renewed annually.
First Aid Course Summary
This unit outlines the essential skills and knowledge needed to deliver first aid to a casualty, following the guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other leading national clinical bodies in Australia. In an emergency, it's vital to respond quickly and effectively to reduce harm and save lives. You will be taught to administer first aid based on the casualty's needs, such as performing CPR if they are unresponsive and not breathing, following Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
